Start from Marrakech and travel to Essaouira, crossing landscapes with argan trees and visiting an optional Argan oil cooperative. Explore Essaouira's UNESCO-listed Medina, stroll along the beach, and enjoy a stay in a riad. Head to Safi to visit the old medina and Portuguese citadel, then continue to Oualidia for a lagoon boat trip and seafood tasting. Finish with a visit to El Jadida’s Portuguese city and return to Marrakech.
Departure in the morning around
8:30. Departure in a comfortable van to
Essaouira. You will cross plain landscapes, planted with trees and shrubs, especially
argan trees
, and you may be lucky enough to see goats climbing. Optionally, you will visit an
Argan oil cooperative. Arriving in
Essaouira, you will be greeted by the soothing sounds of waves crashing against the ancient ramparts. Explore the
UNESCO World Heritage-listed Medina, a maze of narrow alleyways brimming with colorful shops, artisan workshops, and bustling markets. Discover the city's rich
history as a former
Portuguese stronghold and important
trading hub.
Take a stroll along the windswept
beach, listening to the soothing sound of crashing
waves and feeling the fresh
sea breeze on your skin. Watch local
fishermen at work, their colorful boats adding a picturesque backdrop to the serene setting.

Breakfast then we leave towards
Safi, a picturesque coastal town located on the Atlantic Ocean in Morocco. Visit the old
medina situated in the heart of Safi, which boasts enchanting designs and architectural remnants from the era of Portuguese occupation. We will proceed to the Portuguese citadel, known as
Kechla, originally constructed as a cathedral by the Portuguese in 1519.
Lunch then road to
Oualidia, known for its magnificent lagoon setting where many migratory birds have chosen to make their home. Embark on a boat trip on the waters of the lagoon, separated from the ocean by a thin strip of sand and dunes. You will enjoy a breathtaking landscape, made up of salt marshes, specimens of migratory birds, and oyster farms where you will have the opportunity to taste
oysters and other
seafood for which the city is famous. This walk takes about 2 hours. Return to dry land.

breakfast, road to
El Jadida. Formerly nicknamed
Mazagan, this city built by the Portuguese has stood facing the ocean since the 16th century. Upon arrival, you will take a short stroll through the old Portuguese city. You will admire and discover the fortified
ramparts, the Portuguese
citadel, and its impressive Portuguese
cistern.
Return to
Marrakech.
